Overview
Warrior/Priest trades the paladin's raw survivability for utility: Fear peels, magic dispels, and Mana Burn to close games your Mortal Strike pressure can't finish. It's a stronger comp in the right hands but punishes a priest who gets caught.
You win by layering Fear on the enemy healer during a Mortal Strike window, then bursting with Recklessness/Death Wish. If the kill doesn't land, Mana Burn keeps you ahead in the attrition game.
Win condition
Land a kill during a Fear on the enemy healer with Mortal Strike active, or Mana Burn the healer out over a long game while Fear peels keep your priest safe.
Strengths
- +Mortal Strike + priest peels create constant kill pressure
- +Fear/Psychic Scream reset any bad trade
- +Mana Burn closes out healer teams
Weaknesses
- −Priest is squishier than a paladin and can be trained down
- −Warrior kited by casters when Fear is on DR
Cooldown timeline
Warrior opens pressure; priest Fears the healer as the warrior lines up Recklessness + Death Wish + trinket. Psychic Scream to peel a swap, Mana Burn every spare global. Trinket + reposition if the priest gets trained.
Positioning
Priest pillars tightly; warrior peels for the priest with Intervene/Fear support. Don't let both of you get feared off the same DR.
Vs. the meta
The warlock's dispel-punish and UA make your priest miserable. Train the warlock through Fear DR and force the pet-less lock into panic Death Coils.
Gear requirements
- ▸Priest needs enough resilience to eat a full swap and live
- ▸Warrior: weapon + resilience first
Tips
- •Track your own Fear DR — don't waste the reset Fear.
- •Mana Burn is not optional; it's half your win condition.
- •Reflect Fear/Poly and let the priest dispel the rest.
