Fight phases
- 1
Tank phase
Tanks hold Gurtogg; the raid manages Bloodboil (hits the five farthest players — rotate who's out) and Acidic Wound on the tank.
- 2
Fel Rage phase
Gurtogg fixates a random player, buffing their health/damage massively and attacking only them for ~30s. Healers pour into that player; the rest keep DPS and Bloodboil rotation going.
By role
Tanks
During Fel Rage the boss ignores the tank entirely — reposition and be ready to retake threat when it ends. Acidic Wound stacks a bleed on the active tank, so tank swaps keep it manageable.
Healers
Fel Rage is the crux: the fixated player (often a healer or DPS) becomes the 'tank' and must be kept alive under huge incoming damage. Coordinate cooldowns per Fel Rage. Bloodboil needs a healthy positioning rotation.
DPS
Manage your distance so Bloodboil spreads across the raid rather than the same five players. Keep DPS up through Fel Rage. If you're the Fel Rage target, use personal cooldowns and trust the healers.
Common mistakes
- ✕Not enough healing funneled onto the Fel Rage target.
- ✕Poor Bloodboil rotation stacking the DoT on too few players.
