Zul'jin Strategy — Zul'Aman

Phase 4 · Zul'Aman · 2 tanks, 3-4 healers, rest dps

The Zul'Aman endboss, a five-phase fight where Zul'jin takes on the aspect of each animal god you've fought. After a troll phase he cycles through Bear, Eagle, Lynx, and Dragonhawk forms, each with a distinct mechanic — a checklist of everything the raid learned, back to back.

Fight phases

  1. 1

    Troll phase

Grievous Throw (a bleed that must be healed to full to remove) and Whirlwind. Push to trigger the first transformation.

  2. 2

    Bear (Lynx?) phases

Bear: Creeping Paralysis and Overpower on the tank. Eagle: a spinning Zap and a Cyclone that pushes players around a claustrophobic room. Lynx: Claw Rage — a berserk on a random player the tank must peel. Dragonhawk: Flame Whirl and Flame Breath, with Pillars of Fire erupting under the raid.

  3. 3

    Final

The last aspect ends in a burn as his abilities overlap — survive the accumulating mechanics and finish him.

By role

Tanks

Grievous Throw (troll) must be healed off before it kills. Bear's Overpower and Lynx's Claw Rage demand tank attention and peels. Reposition each phase — the Dragonhawk's Pillars of Fire and Eagle's Cyclone reshape the room.

Healers

Grievous Throw won't stop bleeding until the target is healed to full — prioritize it. Each aspect adds a new raid-damage source (Flame breath, Zap, Pillars). Long, escalating fight — pace mana across all phases.

DPS

Dodge the phase-specific hazards: Cyclone (Eagle), Pillars of Fire (Dragonhawk), and Claw Rage's target (Lynx). Keep steady damage through every transformation and push him through the aspects before the mechanics pile up.

Common mistakes

  • Not healing Grievous Throw to full and letting it bleed a player out.
  • Standing in Pillars of Fire or getting shoved by Cyclone into the raid.
