Felmyst Strategy — Sunwell Plateau

Phase 5 · Sunwell Plateau · 2 tanks, 5-6 healers, rest dps

The dragon that rises from Brutallus's corpse. A ground-and-air fight: on the ground Felmyst breathes Gas Clouds and casts Corrosion and Encapsulate; in the air she strafes the room with a deadly Fog of Corruption breath that mind-controls anyone it touches, forcing the raid to run a precise path to dodge it.

Fight phases

  1. 1

    Ground phase

Tank Felmyst; face her away for the Gas Nova / Corrosion (a tank armor-shred). Encapsulate traps a random player in a bubble the raid must kill them out of — quickly, without cleaving the trapped ally.

  2. 2

    Air phase

Felmyst takes off and sweeps a Fog of Corruption breath across the room. Anyone the fog touches is mind-controlled (Demonic Vapor). The raid runs a rehearsed route to stay ahead of the breath until she lands.

By role

Tanks

Corrosion shreds tank armor — swap or cooldown as it stacks. Reposition Felmyst so her breath and Gas Clouds don't corner the raid. The air phase is a raid-movement mechanic; just survive and re-establish threat on landing.

Healers

Encapsulate and Corrosion pressure individuals and the tank; the air-phase breath will MC anyone caught, so healing the aftermath (and surviving misdodges) matters. Heal-through the Gas Cloud damage on the ground.

DPS

Kill Encapsulated players out of the bubble fast but don't cleave them to death. In the air phase, follow the assigned route exactly — one player touched by the Fog of Corruption becomes an MC'd threat. Dodge Gas Clouds on the ground.

Common mistakes

  • Getting clipped by the Fog of Corruption breath and being mind-controlled.
  • Mishandling Encapsulate — either not freeing the player or cleaving them down.
